Our Adjustable Wire Shock Tippets were created for heavy duty blue water use on fish over 10 pounds. The special feature of the 14", 88 pound test wire tippet, with a double looped eye, is an increased sink rate especially effective with Shark Fly Patterns. The option to customize the length on this series of wire tippets also allow current IGFA Wire Shock Tippet Standards to be met.

Directions to make a Haywire Twist:
Pass tage end of wire leader through the eye of the hook. Allow fly to swing freely in loop. Twist both strands around each other 6 to 8 times. Then bend tag out to form a 90° angel and make 6 to 8 tight wraps with the tag around the standing wire. Bend a handle in tag (as shown in the diagram to the above left) and twist handle to break off tag.
